Les cultures cellulaires sont moins co\u00fbteuses que les \u0153ufs de poule et ne contiennent aucune trace de prot\u00e9ines de poule auxquelles certaines personnes sont allergiques. Il est aussi possible de ne produire que des prot\u00e9ines virales isol\u00e9es; dans le cas de la grippe, il s\u2019agit surtout des deux antig\u00e8nes HA et NA. Les g\u00e8nes sont introduits sous forme de s\u00e9quences d\u2019ADN dans des plasmides. Les plasmides sont multipli\u00e9s et inocul\u00e9s dans des cellules de levure o\u00f9 les prot\u00e9ines recombinantes sont alors produites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vaccin antigrippal universel<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le but de la recherche est en outre de produire un vaccin offrant une protection immunitaire de longue dur\u00e9e et universelle contre tous les types de virus de la grippe. Si l\u2019on y parvenait, on n\u2019aurait plus besoin d\u2019\u00e9laborer chaque ann\u00e9e un nouveau vaccin. Il existe aussi divers m\u00e9dicaments. Ce que l\u2019on appelle les m\u00e9dicaments antiviraux interviennent \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents niveaux du cycle de r\u00e9plication du virus de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 le bloquer.
